藝人：Paul Chambers 專輯：Chamber's Music 風格：波普 時間：1956 成員： Donald Byrd Trumpet Paul Chambers Bass, Main Performer Clifford Jordan Sax (Tenor) Tommy Flanagan Piano Elvin Jones Drums Paul Chambers參與的優秀爵士作品很多，可能很多人都會忽略掉Paul Chambers在那些作品里不起眼的Bass位置。Paul Chambers最為人知道的應該就在老邁的組合里。當然其在科川的作品里也時常出現。Paul Chambers是那種賦予Bass細膩感情變化多端的Bass手，在這一點上，能超過Paul Chambers的不多。包括明戈斯。此作與Paul Chambers合作的大牌作品不同，可以感覺到Paul Chambers是相當自由的在控制著手中的琴弦。

藝人：Yusef Lateef 專輯：The Three Faces Of Yusef Lateef 風格：自由、融合、硬波普 時間：1960 成員： Yusef Lateef Ron Carter Hugh Lawson Herman Wright Lex Humphries Yusef Lateef首先是一位伊斯蘭教徒，然后才是一位爵士樂器研究者，再接著就是爵士多樂器演奏猛人。這張融匯了很多中東風格的硬波普佳作就是Yusef Lateef自由爵士態度的體現。沒有太多的勉強，只有隨心而動的適宜演奏。偶爾的搖鈴與長笛更添迷離。

t's All Right Ma, It's Only Keith Keith Jarrett Trio The Dylan Concert [no label, 1CD] Live at Tagsk?gget, Aarhus, Denmark, Sept 15, 1969. A surprising recording emerged late last week of the Keith Jarrett Trio playing Bob Dylan tunes. Apparently, back in 1968, Jarrett together with Paul Motian and Charlie Haden did a trio recording for Vortex [Vortex LP 2012] called Somewhere Before and recorded two Dylan numbers - My Back Pages and Lay Lady Lay. This long out-of-print record was issued on CD in 1990 and Amazon still lists it for sale but we haven't tried yet. Anyway, this live recording [the original LP was also a live recording but different time and place] is by a different trio that includes Gus Nemeth [bs] and Bob Ventrello [drms]. It took place a year later in Denmark and comes from a very good FM source. This is the fixed version with the correct speed. What was Jarrett thinking playing Bob Dylan in Europe? Clearly the free jazz movement had failed to gather mass appeal,
